Japan Wholesalers
A question for conservatives and liberals. Who would support a measure that would allow?
American pharmacies and drug wholesalers import under federally approved drugs csost from places like Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan and make them available to consumers medium? Please indicate your affiliation (ie, conservative, liberal, etc.) I fear many of you have lost part of "federally approved" drugs. ie, approved by the FDA.
Pharmaceutical companies sell their drugs in different markets at different prices. The problem with trying to save money by buying all our drugs from Canada is that we have 10 times the population, so if you buy all your medications just save the money for 10% of Americans. The pharmaceutical companies instead of losing money by re-importation would only increase prices in Canada. The way more effective to lower prices is to reduce the number of years of patent protection given to drug manufacturers to market a new drug. This would competition from generic drugs on the market faster and reduce price competition. I am a conservative who can not justify the prices of drugs in United States are often three times higher here
