The Nut Gourmet Pistachios are the perfect for any trail mix

I think "Trail Mix" is a much more attractive name "Gorp". Gorp is a term used since the early 20th century and refers to granola, oats, raisins and peanuts. Regardless of the name used, is a delightful nutrient mixture of nuts, dried fruits, seeds, fruits and sweets. This snack goes back to ancient times, when nomads would eat a mixture that includes meat dry, too. Easy to store and transport, this blend is ideal for people who want something to nibble on while enjoying the outdoors or for anyone looking for a snack fast and healthy. This mixture is called "Scroggin 'in New Zealand and Australia, which makes the term" Trail Mix "even more appealing.

When I hear the term "Trail Mix", I think of the pioneers, opening a way with horses and carts, snack nuts and seeds on the road. According U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Harmony Food Company of California was the first to coin the term in 1968, when he presented his "Original Trail Mix".

However, road named after the popular snack mix is a more recently available in vending machines for those who need a quick-me-up. For people like hikers, bikers, and hunters who enjoy outdoor activities, trail mix has been a source of energy. There are a variety of recipes mixing. Peanuts, raisins and chocolate chips are among the most used and cheapest ingredients.

I enjoy making up my own mix of recipes way. Pistachios are one of my favorites and I found a great company that makes the trail mix with a combination of pistachios, dried cranberries, Netherlands chocolate chips and white chocolate chunks. Unfortunately, due to delivery problems, only available during the cooler times of the year, so buy a lot when available. When I run out of them, I only do mine! I buy high quality, shelled pistachios and include a mixture of dried banana chips, black chocolate covered coffee beans and some of my personal favorites. Pistachios are nutritious, including fiber, protein, antioxidants, vitamin B6, and good fats, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats have cholesterol lowering properties. Banana chips provide potassium and other vitamins, while chocolate provides antioxidants and black beans provide a jolt of caffeine.

Some people believe that pistachios not be included in the mix of trail because they are very expensive. I beg to differ. Always buy in quantity and this translates into lower cost per pound. In addition, trail mix can take the place of a meal if you're on the go or do not have enough time to have a nice lunch. There is simply no comparison between the trail mix and normal Fast food that provides a minimal nutritional value, but lots of fat.

We … happy trail mix with nuts. I'm sure you will love as much as I. Enjoy!
