Where travel agencies buy their tickets?
Before being sold to the public, where do they themselves get their tickets? The buy direct from the airlines? Or is wholesale flight tickets? If I wanted to start my own travel business, what are the procedures initials? Thanks
Thinking has much to learn about travel agents and their modus operandii. My company has been an agent for many transport operators, land, sea and air for over twenty years. We do not keep cupboards full range of tickets in the hope of selling to travelers, in fact we have no tickets at all. But we a contractual agreement to sell tickets to the companies for which we receive a fee that covers our costs and gives us a profit margin. We are also supplied with "point sales "of material, brochures, posters, etc, besides of course, another material that allows us to offer a service to our customers. Most, if not all our communications with transport operators either by phone, fax, email or direct computer access to your booking engine. Time when my staff are required to provide certain information about the company before the booking is made for the client. As for the production of tickets for our clients, all follow are "masters", which are activated electronically on valid travel tickets by computer systems.
